POLYPROPYLENE

Polyproylene from Ryedale Group
  • Polypropylene is recyclable and has the number 5 as its ‘resin identification code’
  • Number 5 plastics can be recycled through household waste recycling programs dependent on local recycling capabilities/programmes
  • Hard wearing
  • Withstands extremes of temperature
  • Easy to clean

RIGID & FLEXIBLE PVC

UV litho printing on rigid and flexible PVC
  • Recyclable through nationwide collection depots
  • In the UK, approximately 400 tonnes of PVC are recycled every month
  • It can be recycled roughly seven times and has a lifespan of around 140 years
  • Available as white, translucent and clear
  • Cost-effective
  • Versatile – available as rigid and flexible

HIP – High Impact Polystyrene

HIP from Ryedale Group
  • Also known as HIPS
  • HIP is recyclable and has the number 6 as its ‘resin identification code’
  • Number 6 plastics can be recycled through household waste recycling programs dependent on local recycling capabilities/programmes
  • Good impact resistance
  • Cost-effective
  • Versatile
  • Hygienic

A-PET, PET-G and R-PET

Plastic Key cards from Ryedale Group
  • A-PET, PET-G and R-PET are recyclable and have the number 1 as its ‘resin identification code’
  • Number 1 plastics can be recycled through household waste recycling programs dependent on local recycling capabilities/programmes
  • PET is polyester, Polyethylene Terethphalate
  • A-PET = Amorphous PET (often referred to as just PET)
  • PET-G = Glycol modified PET – softer than A-PET and much easier to die-cut than PET
  • R-PET = recycled PET

TESLIN

UV litho plastic print on Teslin
  • Synthetic material
  • Waterproof
  • Durable
  • Widely used in plastic card production
  • Recyclable*
  • * According to PPG industries, the manufacturer of Teslin substrate, it is non-toxic and doesn’t contribute to deforestation. When incinerated, Teslin substrate produces only water, carbon dioxide and a clean ash, releasing no harmful chemicals. Teslin substrate can be recycled, with the recycled product often used for things like signs and park benches.
